3.0 out of 5 stars A Great Guide, But Out of Date, August 14, 2011

This review is from: Collector's Compass : '60s and '70s Decor (Paperback)
The Collector's Compass '60s and '70s Decor volume was published in 2001, which means that some of the information in it (e.g. approximate values for certain items) is by now terribly out of date. However, any potential purchaser should not be put off too much by that fact, particularly if the book is able to be purchased for a low price. As a guide to collectibles and furniture from the 1960s and '70s, this book is wonderful. There are helpful suggestions for negotiating the world of live and on-line auctions, most of which are still as valid today as they were when the book first appeared. The suggestions on care and maintenance of collectibles, many of which are fussy plastic are also quite valuable, and the b&w and color photographs are sure to bring back a feeling of nostalgia for the furniture and collectibles of an earlier era.
