I purchased this book as a gift for my mother in law, she had been searching for it for a long time. It's simply small hand drawings of virtually every quilt pattern in existance. No fancy directions, just the drawings on hundreds of pages broken down into Square, Triangle, Rectangle, Applique, and Other patterns. She absolutely loves this book!

This is a wonderful reference book. If you are good at drafting patterns you will love it. However, there are no color pictures and all of the quilt blocks are hand drawn. The blocks are great though and the author even tells you where you may find the blocks, e.g. KC Star, Laura Wheeler, Marie Webster, etc. Then there is a complete alphabetical listing as well. This is a must have for the avid quilter!

Great book for my quilt block identification needs. It classifies the block patterns into different categories from what Barbara Brackman's Encyclopedia of Block Patterns does. I like that this publication has some names of blocks that don't appear in other ID pattern books.
