Excellant tool for Depression Glass novice or collector,

I am really impressed with the easy to read and understand profiles of each pattern & items. The book is very thorough, including what items, colors, sizes, prices and general availability. A must have for anyone with any interest in Depression Glass. Pictures are well displayed, so that patterns are recognizable when out looking. I especially reviewed the repro section which is very informative.

I can't say enough about this reference. The pictures are Awesome, the prices are right on the mark and the patterns are WELL represented. I have used this book EVERY day since it arrived in my mailbox over a year ago. If you purchase only one book on the subject this is the one to buy.

Whether collecting Depression glass is serious business or an enjoyable pastime, this book is an invaluable resource. The pattern listings, descriptions and examples are comprehensive, the clarity of the photographs makes identification a snap and the text is both informative and readable. Add in the very detailed information on reproduction pieces (both authorized and unauthorized)and the up-to-date pricing tables and you have a collecting aid that meets the needs of the expert and the neophyte alike.

Mr. Florence's pattern information and full-color photos have been extremely helpful. I began collecting a bit more than a year ago, but because of this book, I have been able to surprise even a few dealers with my knoledge of glassware. It has been an invaluable recource.

I think this is the book I like the most from Gene Florence. Lots of pictures. Well done. My collectibles library would be incomplete without this book. You will thumb through it time after time once you have read it cover to cover.
