This review is from: Collectors Guide to Colt's 38 Automatic Pistols: The Production of the Automatic Colt Pistol (Paperback)
Doug Sheldon's Collector's Guide to Colt's .38 Automatic Pistols is THE definitive work on Colt's earliest automatic pistols, and the perfect complement to Donald Bady's Colt Automatic Pistols. I've used Sheldon's well-illustrated and detailed reference book regularly to substantiate inspector markings and production and ledger notes that result from his detailed analysis of the original Colt factory ledgers. His work is straightforward, concise, and well organized. The photographs, especially detailed closeups, are sharp and revealing. This book is a must-have for any collector of early Colt Automatic Pistols.
