I have been a Skynyrd fan since the early 70's when I was a teenager. I owned several Skynyrd LPs then as well. I purchased several greatest hits CDs to try and capture as many of my favorite tunes as I could without buying a dozen CDs. This compilation of the best Skynyrd tunes was what I was looking for. It epitomizes the group's versitility in ballads like "Simple Man" and "I Need You", the down home southern rock style of "Saturday Night Special" and "Workin' for MCA", and of course the classics "Free Bird" and "Sweet Home Alabama". If you're a Skynyrd fan you can't go wrong with this CD collection.

Billy Powell is dead, God bless him.
How many bands get to live twice? And die twice?
From a legal angle Lynyrd Skynyrd died with Billy.
What is left is some of the greatest music ever recorded. From the undeniable classics, Sweet Home Alabama and Free Bird, to lesser known Mississippi Kid and Whiskey Rock-A-Roller, this is a collection of truly great music.
Tuesday's Gone may be the proper epitatph for Billy and Lynyrd. Billy's keyboard work shines on this cut as it does on so many. Somehow it's appropriate.
While all of the music is outstanding, I am in awe of The Ballad of Curtis Loew. It is a song of the real South.
JJ Cale's Call me the Breeze makes for a rocking road song. The list goes on.
This is a good collection. It is probably the best representation of any collection I have seen of any band.
Treat yourself and go for it!

This is a good set. It might not be instantly clear from the description that the first disc was also released as 'Double Trouble' and the second disc as 'What's Your Name'. The third disc is a brand new compilation.

This CD represents the best of the greatest Southern Rock Band of the 70's. Item arrived on time and has been listened to everyday since it's arrival!! ROCK ON SKYNYRD!!!!!!!

this was a gift and the recipient seems happy with it. we couldn't find it in the stores so i ordered it from amazon and it came lickety-split!!

I was very pleased to have recieved my three disc collection of Lynyrd Skynyrd much earlier than expected.
However; I was not pleased to find that when I opened the tin which doesnot close very well, that the discs themselves were floating arround loose. And that thier compartments were damaged with loose pieces of plastic floating arround.
I have no doubt that it was not the company that sent it to me doing. But upon looking closely at the discs themselves they seem to have made out ok. I just think that this company needs to find a better way of protecting items such as these. USPS is not known for its gentleness towards things like these. But for overall customer service and quick arrival of my Discs this company recieves an A+ I will be buying from you again in the future.

has all of the great songs on it like freebird ,sweet home alabama,saturday night special and much much more.these cds are their best ever

It has all the good stuff Lynyrd Skinner is known for, but the tin can and the fold out CDs drive me nuts.

MUSIC IS GREAT THE ONLY THING I HAD A PROBLEM WITH IS THAT THE PLASTIC NOBS INSIDE THE CASE WERE ALL BROKEN SO THE CDS WERENT IN THERE PLACE JUST ROLLING AROUND INSIDE CASE SO BESIDES THAT ITS OK

It is all the seller said. I was very suprised, and at a price that could not be beat. thanx so much I will be back for more
