Editorial Reviews

Review

"Julie Zeilinger is the big sister every smart girl needs freshman year. Her book is your key to surviving and thriving during college and beyond. She threw out the cookie cutter stuff that everyone tells you about college and got down to the nitty gritty details that you are just dying to know. " - Emily Raleigh, founder of The Smart Girls Group

I bought this book for my daughter who will be starting college in August. I am reading it first while she is busy with final exams and projects. The book covers a lot of important topics from dealing with roommate issues to emotional adjustment to college to sexual health and more. I think what distinguishes this book from other articles that I have read is that it has a more empowering tone that encourages young woman to be aware of their own needs and to discover who they are and what they want rather than to conform to other's expectations.

Given as a Christmas gift to all girls I knew who were graduating. They loved that it was written by a college girl.

Will not give the book to the girl I intended it for. It's a bit too frank and ""edgy" for a Christian girl going to a Christian college. Her parents said absolutely not!
