Don't buy this unless you have to.,

This is a commonly used textbook for college algebra
students. Unfortunately, its examples are poorly written
and difficult to understand. In addition, some of the math
problems are so far from the examples that it is nearly
impossible to figure out what you should be doing without an
instructor's help.

The book itself is well laid out and easy to read, but I would avoid purchasing this unless you absolutely need it for a class. Reason is, many of the problems in each chapter have small variances from what is taught in the chapter. In other words, unless you have a solution manual, or a tutor, many of the problems will bewilder you.
I found the book extremely frustrating and relied on tutoring to pass the course. Put simply, this book has some glaring issues.
