This is a commonly used textbook for college algebra students. Unfortunately, its examples are poorly written and difficult to understand. In addition, some of the math problems are so far from the examples that it is nearly impossible to figure out what you should be doing without an instructor's help.

The book itself is well laid out and easy to read, but I would avoid purchasing this unless you absolutely need it for a class. Reason is, many of the problems in each chapter have small variances from what is taught in the chapter. In other words, unless you have a solution manual, or a tutor, many of the problems will bewilder you.

I found the book extremely frustrating and relied on tutoring to pass the course. Put simply, this book has some glaring issues.

The paperback verion is a student solutions manual and study guide, for Gustafson and Frisk's College Algebra. It does not have the same information as the hardback book

Didn't need the book, but it was brand new and no problems with returning it either. Thank you very much, will be back next semester for more books :)

Got the book fairly quickly, looks like it's almost brand new. If it wasn't for having to do college algebra I would be happy with this book;)

This book came in excellent condition for a used book. I haven't come across any missing pages and it was a great deal because I got the hardcover version for a cheaper price than what my campus bookstore was selling the paperback version for, so yeah this was a good buy.

I am completely unhappy with this item because it is the teacher's edition which is totally useless to me. I though I was buying the student edition.
