5.0 out of 5 stars A Mostly Thorough Guide to Costs and Financial Aid, January 29, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: The College Board College Cost & Financial Aid Handbook 2001: All-New 21st Annual Edition (College Board Guide to Getting Financial Aid) (Paperback)
This thick handbook appears to include nearly every college and university in the US. Most listings provide actual published costs to attend the schools and very helpful information regarding the ave. $'s schools offer for need and non-need based aid.The book also provides a guide to the % of total average costs these aid packages cover.

While most schools we reviewed in the handbook had all the information in each category, some did not making it difficult to compare equally each schools financial aid packages. You may , therefore, have to contact a school directly and hope they will "fill in the gaps".

Overall this book is a very useful "bible" for comparing the "generosity" and specifics of colleges and university's average financial aid packages and ways to qualify for reduced tuition through IB, AP, and family, religious or employment affiliations.
