A practical introduction to collider physics,
By Davison E. Soper (Eugene, OR USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: QCD and Collider Physics (Cambridge Monographs on Particle Physics, Nuclear Physics and Cosmology) (Hardcover)
This book is for graduate students and researchers in elementaryparticle physics. It covers how experimental results from high energy particle colliders are related to the theory, with an emphasis on the theory of quantum chromodynamics. The authors are three of the leading experts in this area. In my opinion, the book isn't perfect, but it's very good.

This review is from: QCD and Collider Physics (Cambridge Monographs on Particle Physics, Nuclear Physics and Cosmology) (Hardcover)
In this book you can find both a very brief and clear introduction to the theoretical picture of Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) and lots of phenomenological applications. It contains descriptions and data of many particles processes as some important exact calculations. It should be of interest to graduate students who intend to work in QCD. It is suggested knowledge of elementary particles physics and field theory. I liked this book because it gave to me a comprehensive overview of the physics of high-energy colliders.

High-Energy Physics Background,
By Extra Dimensions "Extra D." (The Fourth Dimension) - See all my reviews
This review is from: QCD and Collider Physics (Cambridge Monographs on Particle Physics, Nuclear Physics and Cosmology) (Paperback)
This book serves as a useful reference for active high-energy physicists. The discussions, and especially calculations, cover a variety of Standard Model formalisms, which can be generalized to new physics calculations. The text by Barger and Philips, COLLIDER PHYSICS (Frontiers in Physics), is also very useful.
