Product Description

Whether you are applying moldings and trim or whipping up a run of picture frames one of the biggest hassles in gluing up mitered corners is keeping them from opening up. Spring clamps are the quickest and easiest way to do it and the Collins Spring Clamp System is one of the most economical we've ever come across. The clamps spread up to approximately 2", so they will cover most trim sizes and any compound miter. The clamps can be applied and removed by hand, but the Spring Pliers (#94537) make the job much easier. They will really save your hands, plus the Pliers place clamps exactly where you want them, and help keep you from scratching stock when you remove them. Spring Clamps and Clamp Pliers sold separately. USA

After using them, they're one of those things you wonder how you ever got along without them.

I have even had painters that liked them because using these and glue on an outside corner no nails are required to keep the corner tight.
Professional Carpenter
They helped tremendously when creating wainscoting picture frames and ornate moldings over doors.

As a trim carpenter I use these almost every day. I believe that these are one of the best ways to hold the outside corners of trim while installing. They do leave a small hole behind, however in most cases this is smaller then the hole left by the nails. I have other carpenters ask me on a regular basis where I got these after they see how well they work for the job. I have even had painters that liked them because using these and glue on an outside corner no nails are required to keep the corner tight. Just leave the clamp on long enough for the glue to set and you will get a perfect miter. For that reason i recommend the 12 pack because you can leave the clamps on your corners while continuing to work on other corners.

You can use these by hand but it is a bit difficult. I highly recommend buying the Collins Tool Miter Spring Clamp Pliers, they make these clamps alot easier to work with and you can get more tension on the corner which will give you a better finished product

This is one of my favorite tool purchases ever. As an amateur, I would get really frustrated trying to do miter joints. They would always slip when I tried to nail them, and no matter how hard I tried, nothing in my repertoire of clamps would squeeze it just right to make the joint tight. Screw-type corner clamps are a pain and don't work on everything. These little guys work fantastic; they make the joint tight, they allow a little adjustment once it's clamped, and they're easy to take on and off.
They do leave a small hole, with the size depending on what type of wood you're using. It is much smaller than a nail hole and I have never had any issues with it.
The pliers are a great addition and well worth the money also.

If you are doing any type of finish carpentry that involves miters, you will love these.
They work especially well for little pieces, like moulding returns, where a nail may cause splits.
Dab a little glue on the miter, then clamp with one or more of these, and get professional results
on crown, base cap, chair rail and casing.

Be sure to purchase the pliers that go along with the clamps.

These are worth every penny. They helped tremendously when creating wainscoting picture frames and ornate moldings over doors. My corners look as professional as they get. They leave small holes but it is worth it for the precision corners. Would highly recommend.

Can't have enough of these little clamps. Easy to use with the installation pliers sold separately. Great for long miters. Really help during complicated glue ups like mitered columns. Will Need bar clamps if u need tighter pressure. Can use with nails to assemble four piece casing for windows and install. Holds miters tighter than nails alone while glue dries

These clamps work very well for simple miters, such as picture frames and the like. They leave a very small indentation where they clamp, but it is easily finished. The clamps go on well with pliers or channel locks. I'd buy them again in a heartbeat.
