Light fun,

Not high literature, but definately a fun story. It's all there: a clever hero , a pretty TV-reporter , a space-ship with a very advanced AI (with a tendency to drone on about irrelevant stuff), a gang of mafia crooks, and some cute furry aliens. It's not quite Douglas Adams-hilarious, but then it's got a bit more coherent story to it.
