My only complaint is that the lid of the tin fits very poorly and will easily come off if you grab the tin by the top.

Condiments were designed to complement food; never to overwhelm it. Stronger flavored condiments should be used very sparingly. This is especially true in the case of Colman's Dry Mustard. It takes very little of this rich flavorful spice to go a long way as an enhancing ingredient. Make your own condiment from it. Add a small amount to your mayonnaise, or make your own Dijon. I even like to mix some with cottage cheese for a dip or to top a sliced tomato. Recipes can be found on the internet at such sites as About.com home cooking.
If you are feeling really gutsy, mix a small amount with equal parts water and dip your sandwich in it. Whew!

This stuff is the real deal. I received my 16 oz tin of Colman's mustard powder today, and as luck would have it, I was about 15 minutes away from sitting down to a lunch of pot roast. I mixed a tablespoon of the mustard powder with an equal amount of cold water, and all I can say is WOW! It really dressed up the pot roast. Now my sinuses are clear, my eyes are moist, but I'm happy. I will not be without this magic dust ever again.

A note about the packaging and handling. My package arrived in less time than was promised, and with no dings or dents. A pleasant experience all around. Well done!

This is great mustard! If you go on the Coleman's website, they have a recipe for "prepared" mustard. Take the trouble to get all of the spices because it is worth it. The prepared mustard lasts a long time in the fridge and remains very spicy. We combine it with sour cream and/or mayo and use as a condiment with meats and/or veggies. A very versatile product and a must have for the pantry.

In the category of Dry Mustard, there's not even a close second.

Everyone recognizes the unique yellow tin that is the trademark of the fiery-hot
powdered mustard that is known internationally as thee English mustard. Two hundred
years ago, Jeremiah Colman took over a mustard manufacturing business using seeds
grown locally around Norwich, England. The mustard was bold and spicy, made from
white and brown mustard seeds. It had a kick and not only did it pack a wallop, but
in 1866 Queen Victoria literally "knighted" it by granting Colman's the ultimate
honor: "By Appointment to Her Majesty the Queen Manufacturers of Food and Households."
What was good enough for the Queen's royal kitchen was more than welcome in kitchens
around the world and thus Colman's became known as "The Queens Mustard".

Enough history... unlike some competitors, this is 100% pure mustard flour made from
a blend of premium brown and white mustard seeds. Just a pinch or two adds bold flavor
to your favorite recipes, dry rubs, roasts, chicken, etc. When blended with water it
becomes the same hot mustard you've enjoyed for years with egg rolls in your local
Chinese restaurants. It is gluten-free and contains no dyes, chemicals or preservatives.
One tin will last a very long time.

There are so many uses for this wonderful stuff the list is too long to post, I even
tried it today in a bowl of corn chowder and the result was phenomenal, and after about
5 bites my ears began to tear and my nose began to run, what a feeling. And maybe the
best thing about Colman's you wont be cheated with these little 2oz. tins, they are
all overfilled so be careful opening, and the top design lends a very tight seal to
keep this powder fresh for months. A must have for every kitchen.

I love this mustard ! You can use as much or as little as desired or needed at that time or you can make a batch ahead and keep in fridge for couple of weeks. The large can was so economical and I can share with all my friends for their use with their tastebuds. Great for the sinus in the winter, keeps the chill off. This is the chineese mustard you get with your shrimp when you go out to eat, the real deal !! Fantastic !

This stuff is absolutely delicious - and hot. Be sure to follow the instructions about letting it 'work' for about 15 minutes before using it, as that's when the great flavor and the heat develop. Also, I think it's best if you only make what you intend to use during your meal, as it's better if you haven't stored it in the refrigerator for a day or so.

This is good mustard, it is hot so you have to be careful with it. I like to use vinegar instead of water with it because I think it tastes better that way,I like to mix it with regular mustard to give the regular mustard more kick.the container is very large so it will last a long time
