5.0 out of 5 stars the authority on the Spiller and Burr revolver, October 29, 2010
This review is from: Colonel Burton's Spiller and Burr Revolver: An Untimely Venture in Confederate Small Arms... (Civil War Georgia) (Hardcover)
If you are interested in Confederate small arms manufacturing, Confederate pistols or just what dedicated men could do under the most adverse circumstances to attempt to arm their countrymen in time of war, this book is for you. The truest of Confederate revolvers was the only pistol actually directly manufactured by the Confederate government towards the end of the war. The information is the most complete information available on the history of this weapon down to a listing of the machinery , employees and methods of manufacture. Lots of illustrations of the various pistols, ads, places of manufacture and the men who brought this pistol factory to life. Definitely worth the money..
