Glossy Paperback. Signed on the first page by the authors. Wallace-Homestead Book Company, Radnor, Pennsylvania, publisher. This is an antiques/collectibles book. Authors, David P. Lindquist and Caroline C. Warren. Following the title page, there is a personalized note written by previous owner, dated March 29, 1994. An embossed LBJ initials from previous owner on the same page as the page with the personalized note. Total 166 pages. The edges of the back pages has a couple light coffee tan droplets on the outer edges of pages. Also, this same stain has a slight half inch splat on the first page of the book where the author, David P. Lindquist and Caroline Warren signed their names, the stain is at the bottom right side of the page. Lots of black and white illustrations and a couple color pics. There is a small, hairline crease across the top right corner of the front board, about 1 1/2 inch long from usage of book. Minor shelf wear on boards. This book "focuses on pieces made in America between 1870 and 1940 in styles ranging from Jacobean to Chippendale to Empire. part I contains valuable information on dating Colonial Revival furniture based on construction techniques. It also explores such topics as the furniture manufacturing centers of America, Grand Rapids furniture and the advent of mass production, Wallace Nutting, and the effect of the Depression on Colonial Revival furniture." Excellent book and guide for people out there interested in antiques and furniture. *5BC5
