5.0 out of 5 stars If your a New Colony Six fan.....This CD is a MUST !!!!
As with most bands from the 60's era, members have come and gone. This CD has the New Colony Six hits from the beginning and as the members changed, and their hits kept coming, this collection stayed its' course. A definite must for all New Colony Six fans. A musical trip back to the 60's with one of the Chicagolands' greatest groups.

3.0 out of 5 stars Slighly sap-omogenous
Either this group declined early, or the brains behind the song selection had sentimental leanings. A few too many sappy love songs for my taste. That being said, the first 4 songs are quintessential 60s garage rock -- some of the best I've ever heard. They justify the CD, and are the only cuts from their debut release. The only later gems are "Things I'd Like To...

5.0 out of 5 stars One of two great albums, October 29, 2008
This review is from: Colonization (Audio CD)
Colonization was the first of two fantastic albums by the NC6(not saying the others weren't great). They began to hit their stride on this one with a lot of classic 60's rockers and ballads mixed in. Revelations their next album was an amazing album of ballads and soft rock so artfully done. Colonization and Revelations are two masterpieces of the late 60's for fans of soft rock and pop ballads.

5.0 out of 5 stars Greatest album ever and not just because its my Dad!, January 23, 2000

I feel constrained by the 1000 word review so I will be brief. I love to sit back and listen to the music of the sixties. This is one of my favorites.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great memories of Great Times !, June 17, 1999

The Blend of Harmony and styles comes through on each song. Mike Hutton kept a lot of Viet Nam in perspective for the 6/27th Arty. I hope He continued in the music business 'cause his talent is too great to be idle.

The only later gems are "Things I'd Like To Say", and especially "Barbara, I Love You". Both sappy tear-jerkers with lots of strings, but in a good way reminiscent of The Association, and as good as "Cherish" or any other 60s ballad.
