An awesome book,

I found this book an excellent visual guide to color on the printed page. Search Google on "Jean Bourges" and look for the "Bourges Color Wheel" to get a sense of the depth this book offers. Chapter 3 opened my eyes to the power of adding black in 10% increments. This book is a CMYK labor of love.

This is one of the most wonderful color references I've ever found. It is so easy to read, yet packed full of information and history. I can't wait for Ms. Bourges next book!

This is a wonderfully interesting, easy to read book that is educational, informative and an invaluable reference. I am a graphic designer, and I keep "Color Bytes" close by my computer so I can refer to it often. I especially enjoyed learning more about the psychological effects of color use, and their applications in advertising and design. I heartily recommend this book!

What a disappointment!,

This review is from: Color Bytes: Blending the Art and Science of Color (Paperback)
This thin, self-published book purports to help the graphic artist choose the right computer colors through a complex formula that is ridiculously impractical. Much of the information in the book is trite, out-of-date and not very helpful.
