"Shannon Quimby is truly a breath of fresh air in the design world!" -- Cheryl Masur, Producer, HGTV's Country Style

From the Publisher

Look out Martha and Rachel: here comes Shannon Quimby, a decorator with a sense of humor and a penchant for fuss-free, whimsical projects. Already well known for her appearances on HGTV’s Country Style and her column in Country Sampler Decorating Ideas magazine, Shannon's down-to-earth style will soon reach an even bigger audience with her 2006 debut on HGTV’s new show, My First Place, on which Shannon will be a Featured Interior Designer. Home decorating, in other words, is about to be fun again.

Format: Paperback
Nearly thirty step-by-step home projects are outlined in over a hundred color photos and provide a more relaxed approach to developing a home style. Don't expect a major guide to repainting the place: it's a decorator's handbook which uses plenty of easy embellishments for its enhancements, from turning vintage hats into unique lampshades to using a wall purse to help organize. Quimby's Color, Create, Decorate: Creative, Fresh Ideas & Decorating Techniques advocates exploring outside the color world norm and taking risks to develop unique style - and advises on how to make it work.

I bought this book because I was told itwas one of the best decorating books. I do not like the Shabby Sheek style of decorating so it turned out not to be a help to me. The seller, however, had the book here before it was scheduled to be here. Great!
