Editorial Reviews

Review

I have already completed my first book and I am looking foward to the next! I'm a Grandma who has enjoyed many great talks with my grandkids as we all sit around the table coloring "EM's Book. -- Jan Caletti, Bothell Washington

My daughter and I both love to color in her book together. We keep it our all the time so she can work on it a little each day. It is not only improving her color & pattern skills, but gives us special quiet time together. I feel it is a very fun, creative & productive past time for my 5 year old. -- Lynda Gast, Bothell Washington

About the Author

For the last 10 years, I have been home raising my son and daughter, and have always enjoyed doing art projects. I have been active in Cooperative Preschool, Elementary PTSA and come from a large family. During these years, I have thrown away a lot of unfinished and scribbled in coloring books. So, I began to draw pages for my children and their friends, and the demand grew. For weeks, I created the 100 pages to the "Color 'Em Book", even the cover was drawn with the child in mind, they can color the cover and there is a place for their own signature. Each page has bold lines, so even the shakiest little hands can color in the lines. All pages have different difficulty levels, to keep all ages entertained. This is a positive coloring experience for children, they can take pride in their artwork.

5.0 out of 5 stars well thought-out coloring book (not just for kids), June 19, 2000
This review is from: Color 'Em Book (Spiral-bound)
A couple of good aspects to this book struck me. Firstly, the lines were thick - so there was more "elbow room" - kids don't always have the motor control skills adults have, so the thick lines are a little more forgiving. (Just try asking your 6 year old to draw a straight line free-hand). It's not a "franchised" book - in other words, it is not full of covert ads for Disney or Pokemon characters. Two other good qualities I noticed are the thick pages, making the 100-page book quite weighty (good), therfore suitable for markers, and a coil spine, so you can turn the pages all the way around and keep the book essentially flat. My daughter seemed to like that. I bought it for her for an up-coming plane journey. I'm having a tough time keeping her away from it.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best developmental coloring book!, June 16, 2003

This review is from: Color 'Em Book (Spiral-bound)
I have searced high and low for a coloring book that my children will just love even before they see the first page! I have found this to be true with Ms. Rosell's "Color 'Em Book." The contents are developmentally appropriate for both my toddlers. The kids enjoy it so much that they have convinced me to buy my own copy. This is definitely for both children and adults alike. Thank you for a wonderful and entertaining book, Ms. Rosell!
