Still staring at your all white or all beige living room and wishing you could change things? Then do I have a book for you!

Here is a sumptuous book, lavish with color pictures that will give you lots of new ideas about how to handle color. There are eye-popping red rooms that would make even the coldest January day seem warm. And aqua! "The lure of a Tahitian lagoon" adds zip to otherwise dull modern design.

One of the nice things about this book is that it shows a picture of the front of the house, and how, say, a green has transformed it, and then shows you the interior and how the color has been used there.

There are both modern and traditional designs, as well as a discussion of how color translates emotionally.

Good sourcebook for paint colors and palettes. I particularly like the "Palettes" section at the very back. The text is a little vapid, but the flow of the book works well, and the images remain a good source of inspiration and reference.
