About the Author

Ted Andrews (1952-2009) was an award-winning author and deeply respected teacher in the metaphysical and spiritual fields. Through his seminars, symposiums, workshops, and lectures, he was committed to making esoteric material comprehensible and practical for everyone.

Ted Andrew's many gifts included clairvoyancy, aura interpretation, past-life analysis, dreams interpretation, numerology, and Tarot. He wrote many books on these subjects, but is best known for his work with animal mysticism and for his bestselling Animal-Speak: The Spiritual & Magical Powers of Creatures Great & Small. Certified in basic hypnosis and acupressure, Andrews was also involved in the study and use of herbs as an alternative path in health care, focusing strongly on esoteric forms of healing with sound, music, and voice. In addition to his interest in metaphysics, Ted was a trained pianist and often used the Celtic harp, bamboo flute, shaman rattles, Tibetan bells, Tibetan Singing Bowl, and quartz crystal bowls to create individual healing therapies and induce higher states of consciousness.

Ted Andrews is the author of The Healer's Manual; Animal-Speak, How to See & Read the Aura; Enchantment of the Faerie Realm; Crystal Balls & Crystal Bowls; How to Uncover Your Past Lives; How to Heal with Color; Sacred Sounds; Simplified Qabala Magic; and many other New Age titles. He passed away on October 24, 2009.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bang for the buck, December 11, 2005

This review is from: How to Heal with Color (Llewellyn's Practical Guide to Personal Power) (Paperback)
I ordered this cheap little book thinking it would be like a basic introduction to color and having different colors to enhance or affect different frames of mind. Boy was I pleasantly surprised! There is a mountain of information in this little thing! Not only does it cover basic color concepts, it goes into Chakra, Reiki, Pendulum, and more. What a wonderful source book! I will be reading this again, and using it for reference.

5.0 out of 5 stars Highly Beneficial and Helpful!, April 20, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: How to Heal with Color (Llewellyn's Practical Guide to Personal Power) (Paperback)
How To Heal With Color is a highly beneficial and helpful book. Easy to understand. Easy to apply. Educational and informative. I learned and applied the techniques and received positive, effective, and successful results. I also own two other books by Ted Andrews that I find beneficial. I just added Ted Andrews to my favorite author list. Ted Andrews books are abundantly rich with wisdom and insight. I am an author on Amazon.com (Diana Montgomery.) I highly recommend books by Ted Andrews, especially this one "How To Heal With Color."

5.0 out of 5 stars The Healers Friend, July 27, 2002

This review is from: How to Heal with Color (Llewellyn's Practical Guide to Personal Power) (Paperback)
Healing is a tradition passed down in my family from mother to daughter. I'm a fanatic for books that regard healing techniques and theories. Some books out there are either light on the info or written so as to put even the most enthusiastic reader to sleep. Not so with this book! It is well written and full of useful information. A great addition to any Healer's bookshelf.
