I have used this product to protect my color-treated hair from fading too fast. Unfortunately, I did not see any difference in the quality & affect of this product versus something that you can buy @ Wal-Mart for a fraction of the cost. Also, I used it in conjunction with the Abba Pure Color Protect Conditioner (aka TruMint) & both scents created an AWFUL smell.....I might as well have been washing my dog! YUCK!

I am stunned by the bad reviews on this. It took me a long time to embrace the sulfate free shampoos, because I demand bubbles...if it doesn't bubble, it seems broken to me despite the science or logic printed on the bottle. I started using this in my salon and on my own head several years ago, and couldn't be happier with the performance. I do think it helps maintain color fairly well, but it's definitely a STAR when it comes to the condition it leaves the hair in. It suds up nicely, detangles and can deal with even the most damaged locks. My one tip is that it is very concentrated, so I mix it in a pump bottle with water in equal parts...making it easier to rinse as well as a better value. This stuff is great if your hair needs recovery. I follow with the corresponding conditioner, also thinned out with water.

Everyone has different needs for their hair care. I have long, wavy color-treated hair. I wash it only about twice a week. For me, Abba works perfectly. My hair is clean but not stripped, fresh but not perfumed. It lathers less like any other low/no sulfate shampoo. I've tried everything, no expense spared, from eco-friendly products to salon recommendations. This is the ticket for me. This one is worth the try.

I LOVE these products. I have been battling my hair since puberty and these products have been the best for my hair that I've tried in 30 years. I love them.

Having said that, I started using them in the Fall and the Summer will be the true test since humidity is awful on my hair. But right now my hair is the best it has been in my life because of the Pure Color Protect Shampoo & Conditioner. I hope the summer works out as well.

I have colored and curly hair that when blow dried becomes frizzy. The pure color and pure moisture shampoos and conditioners allow me to either leave my hair naturally curly or flat iron it much easier than with the multitude of other products I have used in the past. Abba products are pricey but worth it and contain all natural ingredients. I have also used the Pure Curls shampoo and conditioner which is great but picked the others as I didn't want to have three separate products to use when switching from leaving my hair natural or blow drying and flat ironing. The Purl Curls and Color Protection sprays also work well.

I've been using this product for years and would not use anything else. Protects color, does not dry out hair even when used everyday, rinses easily, and is environmentally friendly. PERFECT!!!

Abba Pure Color Protect Shampoo is a winner in my book. I love the fragrance and it definitely helps keep my color from fading. I'm a brunette and get my gray roots around my face colored. Most shampoos wipe out my expensive color treatment after 1 or 2 shampoos. I can go many weeks before I have to get touchups when I use this shampoo. While the color protection is great...my favroite thing about the shampoo is really the fragrance. And what a deal when you buy the large size. Highly recommend it!

I just bought and tried this shampoo. It feels and acts more like conditioner that shampoo. It doesn't lather or clean. Strange stuff, don't buy it.

After using a chemical relaxer, my old shampoo was too harsh and would leave me with dry, flyaway hair. I tried a number of shampoos, but Abba Pure Color Protect Shampoo has been the best. This shampoo is so gentle that I am able to use it everyday, which is especially important with my oily scalp.

I love this shampoo, besides the great smell it leaves on my hair it has improved the condition of my colored hair and doesn't fade the color.
