Step aside Britney; let Tiffany show you how it's done!!, August 29, 2001
This review is from: Color of Silence (Audio CD)
Tiffany's new cd "The Color of Silence" will blow you away and erase any preconceived notions you might have about her. It is stong, intelligent, and classy. This woman can sing and now she's taken on an original sound that is all her own. For those who are sick of seeing so many pre-packaged young female performers that have to rely on dressing in skimpy clothes to sell records, "The Color of Silence" is a breath of fresh air to any music fan who is looking for substance rather than style.

The only thing holding her back is her name.., August 18, 2001

Unbelievable come back disc. No pop or bubble gum what so ever! Tiffany wrote almost all of the songs herself and hasnt sounded this good in years. The duet with Krayzie Bone "I'm not sleeping" is by far the best track of 2000. Other gems are "I will not break down", "Piss you off" and "Open my eyes". Get this while you can.

An excellent CD from start to finish!, August 25, 2005
This review is from: Color of Silence (Audio CD)
Music fans who think Tiffany is "stuck" in her '80s sound will be pleasantly surprised when they hear this thoroughly modern and non-contrived album. From the moment "Open My Eyes" erupts into its fantastic, explosive chorus to the spectacular guitar rifts that close the gorgeous "Flown," this CD is solid, expressive rock music through and through.
Honestly, I was a kid in the '80s and loved Tiffany's pop stuff, but with age, I outgrew her records...and when I saw this CD at Tower Records, I bought it thinking it would be amusing and nothing more. Well, I didn't know it then, but I had added a CD to my collection that has parked itself into my Top 10 albums of all time list, along with Bruce Springsteen and Kate Bush, just for reference's sake.
I urge you to pick this CD up. It is spectacular! And it got very little airplay (that's the music business, folks!), so grab this album before it disappears! You'll be glad you did.
