A Major Overlooked Hidden Gem!, March 5, 2010
This review is from: The Color of Silence (Audio CD)
To be honest, I never thought about Tiffany to be a singer of some substance, but after listening to this Gorgeous Album...and I do mean Gorgeous! this is one album that covers all aspects of life, growing up, self discovery, relationships good and bad and picking up the pieces, Forgiveness, bitterness in all aspects of what makes us humans, and what it means to conquer these faults and make our lives better, (but leaving some space for doubt...in her songs) As we know life is really like.
These themes on this album had me questioning my place in this world, something, I did not expect from this former Pop Singer...every song has a very stong message, and the way she delivers them with her singing voice (and great music arrangements) makes every statement so believable and strong.
So many times I have listened to this album, and cannot believe, it has gone under the radar of exceptional music!
The highlights on this album are "If Only" "Betty" "I Will Not Breakdown" ""Open My Eyes" "All The Talking" and "Butterfly"
This album has a very special place next to my Kate Bush, David Sylvian and Alison Moyet Albums, some of my all time favourite Singers.
An album to savour in every listen. Excellent in every way!

Second chances are deserved and Tiffany proved how good she could be with this album, her voice seems to have strengthened over time and she's grown up (happens to us all).
A more confident sound in all of the tracks, she's actually singing about something...tracks like Betty show how Tiffany should be much much bigger than she is, other stand out's are open my eyes, the in your face piss you off. If you like the sound of Alanis (now), Annie Lennox or Amie Miriello then you will like this album...I paid over $40 for it, no regrets.

Hidden Gem, January 2, 2009

Wow - This album is really good. I am honestly NOT a fan of Tiffany's music - I never really heard much of it b/c her style of music is not my preference. However, I bought this album based on a friend's recommendation and I am so glad I listened! Her voice is very refreshing and beautiful, and the lyrics to the songs are very frank and relateable. She really sings from the heart. I highly recommend the Color of Silence if you like rock music and are looking for a really good album.
