Step aside Britney; let Tiffany show you how it's done!!,

Tiffany's new cd "The Color of Silence" will blow you away and erase any preconceived notions you might have about her. It is stong, intelligent, and classy. This woman can sing and now she's taken on an original sound that is all her own. For those who are sick of seeing so many pre-packaged young female performers that have to rely on dressing in skimpy clothes to sell records, "The Color of Silence" is a breath of fresh air to any music fan who is looking for substance rather than style.

The only thing holding her back is her name..,

Unbelievable come back disc. No pop or bubble gum what so ever! Tiffany wrote almost all of the songs herself and hasnt sounded this good in years. The duet with Krayzie Bone "I'm not sleeping" is by far the best track of 2000. Other gems are "I will not break down", "Piss you off" and "Open my eyes". Get this while you can.

An excellent CD from start to finish!,

Music fans who think Tiffany is "stuck" in her '80s sound will be pleasantly surprised when they hear this thoroughly modern and non-contrived album. From the moment "Open My Eyes" erupts into its fantastic, explosive chorus to the spectacular guitar rifts that close the gorgeous "Flown," this CD is solid, expressive rock music through and through.
Honestly, I was a kid in the '80s and loved Tiffany's pop stuff, but with age, I outgrew her records...and when I saw this CD at Tower Records, I bought it thinking it would be amusing and nothing more. Well, I didn't know it then, but I had added a CD to my collection that has parked itself into my Top 10 albums of all time list, along with Bruce Springsteen and Kate Bush, just for reference's sake. I urge you to pick this CD up. It is spectacular! And it got very little airplay (that's the music business, folks!), so grab this album before it disappears! You'll be glad you did.

I have never been a fan of Tiffany. I just happened to watch the VH-1 "behind the music" on her and heard some of her new songs and decided to buy the CD. It is Excellent!! It is one of my favorite CD's. It is unfortunate that the only reason why she has not done any better, is because of her name. I highly reccomend this CD. Beautiful voice and great songs!

Tiffany has grown up, so has her music,

Tiffany has grown up and so has her music. This work is excellent. I just hope it gets judged on its own and not prejudged based on Tiffany's teeny-bopping past.
The opening song (Open My Eyes) starts off slow (but good) and turns into a nice little rocker. 'I'm Not Sleeping' picks up right at that pace and pushes it further. The next 2 songs are ambitious and good, keeping the pace moving along. The 4th song (I Will Not Breakdown) is probably my second favorite. Although this is one of the few songs on this project that Tiffany did not co-write, she really seems to be into it. It is a medium-paced, vocal-driven ballad. The next several songs are an eclectic mix of styles and paces. Tiffany does them well, hitting the moods and ranges where needed. While they might be a bit of an odd mix, they do showcase her talents. She really hits her stride again with 'Betty', a fantastic soulful ballad. This would be my favorite tune of the bunch. Once again, although Tiffany did not co-write the song, she really gives it everything. Her next song (Cinnamon) is another odd sort of song. It is a bit out of place, yet totally fitting. It is followed by 'Butterfly', to end the CD. Perhaps because Tiffany has not come out with many CD's since her teen-age days, this seems like a jumbled (but very solid and enjoyable) bunch of songs. Yet, I think if you really listen to the words and follow the pattern, you will see some themes coming out. Tiffany appears to be sending a message that she is back and ready to make her name again in the music world. If she continues with works like this, she will be totally back and even better than ever.

she can do better,

It's good she tried it again and all alone. I always appreciate it when an artist brings an album out - the way s/he wants to in her/his very own creation. Just this time it wasn't fully convincing. She sure can sing and it is not as poppy as the teen Tiffany we know, but for me it is a bit to country-esk. She just won Hit me baby one more time (TV Show) and we can expect a new album. I'm looking forward to it as always :)

When i first heard the CD, I thought that it was ok. and i kinda started "gaining" some respect for her, but as soon as she decided to pose nude for Playboy .... her CD and her image were OUT the window. So sad! =(
