16' square shade sail,

I purchased this item to try it out.
This was my first experience with a shade sail. The quality of the product is in line with the price. This sail is very inexpensive and a great one to buy to "try it out" The density of the fabric is great. It provides good shade. When this one wears out I'll get a little nicer one. It has been up for about a month with no signs of noticable fading or premature wear.

I'm not saying this isn't high quality... it definitely requires some secure installation to get it taut. I made the mistake of installing mine immediately after receiving it and I would say it has since stretched 30%... so I had to redo my install... it's nice... rain kinda seeps through, it seems to be sturdy enough and does look nice... it's what it is... take the time to stretch this out evenly before installation and you may have a chance to get it taut and looking nice.

Great low cost alternative to a patio cover,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

Being new homeowners a real patio cover is a bit down the road after we finish window replacements & a new roof. In the meantime, we need something to cover a west-facing concrete patio that gets no shade & was scorchingly hot this summer. So for less than $100 dollars (including posts, fittings & concrete), this shade sail provides enough shade that you can walk on the concrete at mid-day barefoot (not something I would have recommended before). Plus the concrete is not storing heat & radiating it back onto the house wall/windows after the sun goes down. The only advice I would give is buy one slightly smaller than you need as it will stretch. Our patio is about 20' wide but, we purchased the 16' shade & it fits perfectly. Also, color is much lighter than it appears in the photo.
