What a hoot! When UPS first delivered the book I quickly leafed through to see all the cats and then realized everyone around me was leaning in to see and read about them too. This a quality coloring book, quality art, quality writing and best of all quality REAL cat characters she portrays. Now to buy some more because everyone who sees our copy wants one.

To date, I have purchased ten. That's right. And guess what? I'm already out, having given away even my own copy before I ever got to color in it.
Why? Because it's perfect.
The drawings are divine, the cats are eccentric and marvelous, and the cause it supports is right on.
Best of all, while there is nothing cutesy about this book, the permission is there to simply enjoy yourself -- not something one gets invited to do every day, is it?
And this book works for every age.
Unlike so many "adult" coloring books on the market right now, there is no heavy message, overwhelming dogma or political point of view.
It's just delightful.
Kids love it, adults love it, I love it.
But the next copy I buy is MINE.
I mean it: Mine.

I couldn't wait to get this book! I am a little partial to the cat on page 31 (my beautiful Flynn) but love all the pictures. Cant wait till the holiday craziness calms down and i can break out the colored pencils and spend some time coloring all the pages. I love the stories and all the little cat personalities.

This delightful color-in book by Pamela Hodges is for humans like me who miss holding a crayon in their hands. The book features forty illustrations of zany cartoon cats with a few charming lines about everyone's story as a foot-note. It made me happy as I attempted to make the cats come alive in a rainbow of color. I was a child again and care free, surrounded by beloved cats and a multitude of crayons and color-in pens.
It's also cool that Pamela donates 10% of the proceeds to animal rescue.

This is a coloring book and much more. The stories of the cats are on each page and you can imagine their lives and personalities as you color and chill. Cats come in many shapes and sizes...Pamela has captured each one individually. I could imagine each kitty as I read their story and looked at their picture. Love it!!

Pamela Hodges has given us a winner. In a world of coloring books targeted for children OR adults, Pamela has created a "family" coloring book, filled with adorable line drawings and witty but accessible stories for 40 different felines from around the world; pictures and content sure to please children and adults alike.

Color the Cats' paragraph-length stories give us just the right touch of playfulness and sophistication, and walk an excellent balance between whimsy and real-life pathos. One cat tells us, "My name is Bridgett, and I love to steal socks." Another cat named Flynn tells us his story and provides a slightly subversive moral: "Crying can help you get what you want." Another, Larry, tells us he was rescued from the road after being hit by two cars, and that he doesn't let his three legs slow him down.

On top of this, 10% of the proceeds from the sale of Color the Cats goes to animal rescue services. Picking up this book is a win-win-win.

This cat coloring book is great for adults and kids. I loved reading the cat stories and my daughter loved coloring the cats. I ended up buying two more, one for my niece and one my mother who adores cats. I definitely recommend you pick up this cat coloring book!

Who knew that coloring could be so relaxing? I now have a cup of colored pencils on my coffee table and a couple of coloring books. I like my Pamela Hodges book "Coloring the Cats," the best. First of all I am an animal lover and many four-legged beasts have graced me with their presence over the course of my life. Secondly, cats would expect to have their own coloring book. You know what I mean if you have ever lived with a cat. And lastly, Pamela's pictures are so whimsical and fun. She definitely "gets" the essence of cats! Each picture has a little story attached to it about the cat you are coloring. It makes me happy and relaxed to a color a cat. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
