Product Description
A color wheel with transparent red, blue, orange and green inserts rotates slowly in front of a brilliant-white 60 watt regular incandescent light bulb. An ever-changing play of light adds a new dimension to your holiday decorating. Sits a few feet from your tree as the 12-dia. color disc rotates slowly to illuminate any tree in red, blue, orange and green. Angle can be adjusted to suit your liking. 60w bulb not included. On/off switch and UL listed extra long 6 ft cord are standard. Some of our customers reported they used halogen lamps for even better results. We assume no responsibility for any improvisations made by customer.

I was VERY leary of buying this item due to the reviews. Went out on a limb and bought it anyway. At first, I was just as disappointed as the other reviewers. BUT, sought out a 60w "Flood" type bulb and this thing suddenly worked like a charm. The problem with a regular bulb is that the light is not "directed" through the wheel; everything gets bright behind the wheel and the effect of color is minimal. Once flooded with proper light, it was great. Really enjoyed it with our aluminum tree!

This product is sheer joy. It was so easy to setup, I did it within 5 minutes. I would rate the quality of the product as very good value for money.
The speed of rotation is pleasing, not too slow or fast. This product indeed brings back childhood memories. Not a bad deal at all when you can re-live your bygone days with this old style yet brand new product. I have been very happy with it. In fact, this will be the third Christmas season I am going to be using it. Talk about buying a long lasting product for a few bucks!
Last year we changed the lamp with a brighter one to get even better results. Overall, this has been the best online buying experience for me.

This works great on my 5 foot tree....but you DO need to use a 50 or 60 watt bulb (i used halogen)that is a spotlight type. The enclosure on those directs the light straight out instead of all around and allows it to work just fine.

The color wheel works great if you put a spotlight in the socket. It seems to be very quiet in operation. Our old color wheel had a very noisy synchronous motor. Read more

The color wheel is just what I wanted. My color wheel from 1955 finally quit working and this one is just as good as the old one and much quieter

Hasbro makes better products
Bought this for $25 from another site (Amazon's $50 is outrageous). Anyway, this is a poorly constructed light. Made of paper-thin plastic and a poor motor-system. Read more
