It is still burning bright-- no lights have burned out.

The light is not plugged into a timer but is plugged into a switched outlet so we only had it turned on for a couple hours each night before switching it off.

If the suction cups don't hold (and they won't on an uneven surface) the unit will bob to the surface of your pond.

The item arrived shipped directly from China. The light output was too weak to light the waterfall for our pond from under water so we placed it above the waterline and lit the waterfall from behind. I had to stack rocks against it to properly hold it down and keep it from moving. It is far too dim to see during the day, even in the late afternoons or early evenings but at night the changing colors were dramatic and the effect was very enjoyable. We would have been happy with that as that was the only time we turned it on. Unfortunately it lasted only 5 days. The light is not plugged into a timer but is plugged into a switched outlet so we only had it turned on for a couple hours each night before switching it off. It comes with its own low voltage transformer. I do not know if it is the transformer that has gone bad or the light itself. Either way I bought a cheap single light and it has lived up to it's price.

We were looking for a color changing light for our pond, but didn't want to spend much. I was skeptical, but thought if it doesn't work, I'm only out $18. We already have clear lights in the pond. However, we have these tall, leafy plants that sit on a platform in the pond. We did have to weigh it down, by tying a rock to it. No big deal.

We have been pleasantly surprised. It works great. The tall, leafy plants help to make this such a good light. The colors reflect light all over the leaves. Without the plants, it would be a tad boring. Looking out our window, you can see the plants changing from red, to green, to blue. We've been meaning to put a timer on it, so we don't waste electricity during the day. Although being LED, I'm not sure it uses much. So, it has been burning 24/7 for a couple months now. Knock wood, it is still going. I've been wondering whether it is harder on lights to be turned on and off vs just left on. I was just thinking about buying another and keeping in case this one burns out.

So, I highly recommend this light. If you use it in a pond, I would suggest positioning it, so it shines up on plants, in order to have something for the lights to reflect on. I've seen others post videos of their orders. If I knew how to do that, I would, because it really is very pretty.

UPDATE: It's now November and some 6 months since we bought it. It has burned 24/7 and still works. I am curious how it will hold up to the cold pond temps this winter. We will see. Can't be beat for the price. I'm thinking of buying another now, in case this does burn out. As with anything, I am sure it will eventually burn out. Only thing we've had to do is clean algae that builds up on lens.

This is a great light, just plug it in, Set it down in the pond, aim, done. My pond is about 6 x 4 maybe 300 gallons, this light makes my pond glow beautifully at night time, and makes a cool light show in the trees from the ripples off my waterfall.

If you are looking for a light that really lights up your little 5x5 pond this will do the trick. It's bright and very inexpensive. Strobes and flashes different colors. It was too bright for my little porch fountain though....I think I bought something too powerful for my purpose. Great value though.

I received the product as described. No issues with the seller, one comment on the product though, the vacuum pads do not stick well to the pond liner or stone, i found the light floating in the pond, have to secure it with some weight

Buyers should be aware that this unit floats! If the suction cups don't hold (and they won't on an uneven surface) the unit will bob to the surface of your pond. I ended up wiring it down with a a rock!

It wasn't waterproof. After pouring the water out of it, it works sporadically and only one color. Might be fine, but keep it out of the pond or water feature.

The light works perfect but I am disappointed in the suction cups, they hold for a few minutes then the unit floats to the surface, I had to use a large rock to hold it down! The other issue I have is that their is no way to turn it off short of climbing in back of my pond to plug and unplug it! It would have been nice if it had a remote or at least a rocker on/off switch maybe have way. the unit now has to continuously run day and night because of poor access to the plug! Thank god its only 3 watts running all the time!
