Although Robert has been a professional photographer since 1988, he also considers himself a lifelong student, always working to perfect his craft. One of his many teachers is Sam Abell, noted National Geographic photographer. Robert is a teacher himself - through his lectures and workshops, and having taught at the Music and Arts Conservatory of Santa Barbara. He's also produced various multi-media shows performed by the Colorado Music Festival Orchestra and the Rocky Mountain Sierra Club.
Robert's breathtaking photographs are a result of both swiftness and patience - quickly setting up shots, then waiting for the ideal conditions or moments in order to capture his beautiful and dramatic images (sometimes waiting for hours for the perfect moment!). Robert's goal is simple, yet profound: to share the beauty of the natural world and the wonder of life through photography and storytelling.

I received this really fast and once I opened it, it had a torn page as well as childrens markings on it. On the back it still had the price tag from ARC....a thift store for 1.99 I paid more than that. I have now learned my lesson on used products.

Nice but not super helpful,
This review is from: Colorado Roadside Photography Guide (Paperback)
Half the book shows photos that were taken on hiking trails. Based on the title, I thought this would be a roadside photography guide but it's more a hiking photography guide.A better title would be Colorado: Photography Guide.

Most photo location books show you a great photograph then don't really tell you where, when and how. This book provides VERY SPECIFIC information to get great photographs while traveling through Colorado. You get the best season, time of day and specific highways to get you to the locations present. Excellent reference for photographers and nature lovers.
