That makes a good murder mystery.
We are back in McClintock Country with Tate Raleigh. Still don't know when or how Diana Dover showed up.

She has a nasty but likable twin who causes nothing but trouble.
Gil Vance is the sheriff and sounds like a good one. FBI is questionable.

Bernadette O'Malley shows up with the mob on her tail and a dead body in her car. Can't believe how she lands on her feet.

Loved the idea of the bees doing in one of the guys that show up at Diana's place. Money under the bees, what else is there?
Here she is a 40 year old doctor who is putting the moves, ever so gently, on 38 year old Tate.
She has learned to accept what she can't change and to teach Tate to accept what he can't change and to face his fears, whatever they are to heal his soul.

Tate wants to protect her but he values their friendship and does not want any involvement emotionally.
He and Gil prove to be a match for the FBI investigators and his stymies their plans to use Diana as a lure for the mobster.

Great solution for the Track Shack Bar and Grill.

Good mystery and intrigue - good shoot-em-up dead guys - fast paced action - excellent characters. Too old for a family?

Definitely Recommended --M -- might want to keep this set.

4.0 out of 5 stars If you like Harlequin books..., April 29, 2001
This review is from: Colorado's Finest (Harlequin Intrigue 612) (Paperback)
Colorado's Finest was a great story. It kept me interested the whole time, and there is even some comedy to the story. The characters are believeable and likeable. The plot is a good too. It's not so far fetched that you have a hard time relating or understand it. The only thing I would have done differently is a more informative epilouge. We all know the guy and girl get together, right. Well.. Id like to know if they carry out the plans they discuss. And things like that. But over it was a really good book.
