Product Description

Editorial Review

Dora's on her way to abuela's house for a family fiesta and it's up to your favorite preschooler to get her there in this fun and simple Colorforms game. As the title suggests, the game is big (measuring 26 by 36 inches) and easy (simple rules are easy to follow, leading to little frustration). As the title implies, this is a game best played by preschoolers who get the opportunity to learn about how to play board games while hanging out with Dora, the star of the wildly popular Dora the Explorer series. Along the way, skills such as counting and color matching are reinforced. Just as in the series, the game offers subtle lessons in Spanish. The game also includes 24 Colorforms that are compatible with other Colorforms sets. --John Moe

3.0 out of 5 stars Game board disappointment, January 14, 2003

This would be an enjoyable game if the gameboard was not a flimsy piece of glossy paper. It doesn't lay down flat and we have to use books to hold the edges down. Even with that, there are several bumps on the "board" and the player markers won't stand up as a result. Don't buy this until they change the board.

1.0 out of 5 stars Too Big, too clumsy, September 9, 2003

My daughters 2.5 and 4 were disappointed when the huge mat (that takes up a whole table) would not open fully. The creases made hills and the pawns could not stand upright. My girls had to reach over the matt and would knock the other players over. It got REALLY frustrating FAST. The colorforms also didn't stick very well to the characters.

5.0 out of 5 stars Big and Easy just like its name!, December 2, 2003

I played this game with my niece and my wife while my niece was visiting over the weekend. It was great because we spread it out on the living room floor. The pieces are big, so my niece could really wrap her chubby little toddler hands around it.
Best of all, the rules are easy to learn and the game kept her entertained for hours, as she moved her favorite cartoon heroine, Dora, around the board. It was fun for us, too, as we are really SICK of playing boring CandyLand. It's an inexpensive game and for the amount of times my niece played it, it was well worth the money.
