My 7- and 8-year-old daughters frequently choose their copies of this book to bring along on outings where they know they'll need to fill 'down time.' It has been very helpful while waiting at doctors' offices, between races at long swim meets, or for when we've arrived too early at an event. It is compact enough (the size of a thin binder) to bring along in a backpack or keep tucked in the storage compartments in our car. The colored pencils are very durable, as are the sturdy cover and pages of the book. (We've had ours for over a year, and nothing has ripped or broken!) The protective case attached to the book in which the colored pencils come holds them very securely, so they don't get lost or separated from the book. Now our kids like giving them to friends as gifts, then they work on the pages together!

This book has it all - super-hard connect-the-dots (up to 100 or 150...!), pages you rip or cut or fold, pages where you carefully poke through the dots with a pencil so on the OTHER side you can feel the goosebumps or stubby beard, pages just for coloring (including the Stroop test!), search-and-finds, jokes carefully written on the edges of every page, mazes... everything! Most of these activities take a long time of sustained attention to complete, which is just what you want to encourage on five hour plane trips.

The pencil container should be cut off before you give it to your kidlet, though. It keeps the book from lying flat, and is therefore very annoying.

I handed this book to my 6 year old twins as we drove out to our camping sight. They absolutely LOVE it, it has such variety (and attitude!) and it's lasted through several weekend trips. A great gift idea - keeps kids busy and creative!

I gave this book to my niece for Christmas and she just loved it. She was drawing and playing the games immediately after we had openned all the presents.

The contents of this activity book do not live up to the title. Many are not "on the go" activities, let alone easy for little kids to follow without supervision. As a teacher, this proved to be a poor investment of my time and money. You would be best to not make the same mistake.

"The Only Coloring Puzzle Game Dot-To-Dot Activity Book You'll Ever Need" is a stupendous package of 120 pages of black and white activity pages for kids age 4 and up with an accompanying set of 5 colored markers that twist up as bright soft wax colored pencils (crayons) in neat plastic tubes. There are unfinished drawings, hidden pictures, fold-ups, games, and dot-to-dots as well as cutting practice projects like paper airplanes. This is a really cool activity book with lots of zany, fun suggestions for bored kids on a rainy or snowy day ideal for indoor activities. Klutz is the answer to a parent's prayer for fun learning activities for kids. The instructions are fun too! ("Do not color outside the lines [just kidding]!") This is the only pencil-pushing, jam-packed, bursting-at-the-seams, fold-in, poke-through, paste-on, cut-out, full spectrum of fun games and activities book you'll ever need! Just add COLOR!" Enough said, Klutz is a must for parents and kids over age 4.
