Great Teaching Tool,

I read this book constantly to my newborn daughter, actually moving the book around to help her wandering, unfocused eyes catch the colors and bold words. We read it until it was ragged and worn, and now it sits on my bookshelf for my grandchildren. It's great for ages newborn through two (2) years.

We were looking for a learn your colors book for our 20 month old daughter. The pages in this Baby Genius DK Book are fabulous. I am so please we made this purchase. She loves the color of each page and all the objects on the page are filled with the select color. I would highly recommend purchasing this for learn your colors. We also purchased a smaller version of the same book My 1st Book of colors by DK for travel. We travel a REAL lot on airplanes, trains, buses. We are currently living in Europe & these books are FANTASTIC!

I really love this book because the pictures are nice and big, the colors are SO SHARP and it really catches and retains my 16 month old's attention. Excellent color book.

This color book is short and sweet. The page is shaded in its appropriate color and there are photos of recognizable objects - like yellow tennis shoes, blue crayons, green frog, orange goldfish, brown bear, black cat etc. My 22 month old son particularly likes the photo of the small black kitten (he meows at it). Nothing fancy in this book but it's a good solid basic color book.

Okay, it's a one-word book about teaching colors. It's not exactly a field that inspires great literature, and that's okay.
But back when my nieces were of an age to read this book, I was always irked by the fact that colors like red and blue get two page spreads with three items while colors like black and white get a page each with one item. Just upset my need for order. *shrugs* |
