Martyn Joseph has the ability to write those words and music that I feel in my bones but would fail to articulate. This album is one full of life and humanity and I fully recommend it to anyone and everyone - try it. Guitar complemented by sax, cello - mmmmm my favourite instruments. I often listen to this and feel refreshed by the honesty and sincerity which seems to be lacking in most of music today.

The most honest man in showbiz?, March 3, 2000

Those who have never listened to Martyn or seen him live have missed out. His directness and honesty will touch your heart. Only songs this real can make such a connection with you. This is not his best CD, but that doesn't mean it's not 5 star stuff. If DO Not Disturb doesn't touch you, you're probably not alive! He can be wry, humourous, observant, catchy but one thing is for sure and that's that he'll speak to your soul.
