Editorial Reviews

From the Publisher

How many times have those elusive greens, greys, violets, caused so many frustrating hours and wasted material. This book will banish forever 'mixing mud', assist your creativity and give you an understanding of what really happens when certain colors are mixed. Whichever media you prefer to use this book applies to all. You will never want to leave home without it. This is the first in a series of 'Color Notes' titles. A further three, covering topics which continue to cause the greatest difficulty for the artist, will be introduced in the next few months.

From the Author

The easiest way to achieve color harmony is to work with a very limited number of colors. The fewer the better in almost every case. As each of the color swatches shown in this book are produced from no more than two colors, the hues on each page can be harmonised with ease.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent guide to color mixing, February 21, 2011
This review is from: Colour Mixing Swatch Book (Paperback)
This book has been a much loved staple in my studio for many years. I teach color mixing and recommend this book to my students. It is a simple system for learning to mix thousands of vibrant colors from 2 reds, 2 blues and 2 yellow tubes of paint. Highly recommended.
