This review is from: The Colour of Violence (Hardcover)
Synopsis: A man and woman who find themselves falling in love, are concerned to keep it a secret until they can sort out their entanglements. Soon, however, a freak event causes them to become embroiled in the machinations of menacing bank robbers intent on pulling off the perfect crime. This is a taut, engrossing story with such realistic people and tensions that the overwhelming twists of the story are made consistently plausible. The author is an English former attorney, and the details are reminiscent of a British procedural mystery, but with personal tensions, struggles and suspense at the core, rather than a who-done-it. If you like innocent characters rising to extraordinary efforts in the face of wild events, you'll enjoy this story.
