First off, I'd like to say that I'm a huge fan of SWD. From their 5-track EP "Ambient Blue," I fell in love with their unique spin on the "Owl City sound" (I do believe that AB was produced by Adam Young.) I would even say that from their first EP, I liked them far above Owl City.
That said, when I started Water Colours, I felt underwhelmed. It didn't really have any moments like in my favorite track on AB, "Everything's a Miracle." It was a decent album, but not really great. Then I heard the last song "Good Times." Wow, is that song awesome. I gave Water Colours another listen and it was then I realized: the album is fantastic. It really had to grow on me. Ambient Blue immediately hits you in the face with it's greatness, but Water Colours has to work it's way up. It's a wonderful Sophomore effort, and as a whole even better than their original EP. I hope these guys get the attention they deserve. Listen to it, love it, share it. These guys will go far.

(If anybody is wondering, some of the best songs on the album are "Diplomat," "Jacques Cousteau," and "Good Times." All the songs on the album are great, and I would strongly discourage picking out single tracks.)

Swimming With Dolphins has a lot of sentimental value for me. I think this album is perfect. If you loved Ambient Blue, you will be proposing to Water Colours once you hear it. These guys need more attention, praise and... touring! The booklet has the lyrics, too, yay :) Buy it. Now.
