5.0 out of 5 stars I have seen them On Asian MTV. They make and sing great song
I live in Asia and I was there when they came out with the smashing hit in 1995 summer, the song is titled "Someday". It is a sweet and sad song that has got some deeper meaning and it's different than the regular American music I listen to in Portland, Oregon. I wish they were playing in the states too. You should check the "someday" video, it is...

5.0 out of 5 stars I love their music!, January 9, 1999
This review is from: Colours (Audio CD)
What a great CD. I first heard their music when I was in the Phillipines in December of '94. I scoured every CD store for this CD and everyone was all sold out. I never forgot their music. I recently purchased a computer and one of the first things I did was buy Colours on-line. The first track I heard was 25 minutes. It's very touching and heartbreaking. Still, 4 years later, the lyrics evoke the same emotions in me. All in all, it's a powerful CD.

5.0 out of 5 stars MLTR is the best, February 11, 2005
By
This review is from: Colours (Audio CD)
This album was the first MLTR I bought. And since then I have collected all of their albums. All of the songs here are very melodious and relaxing. They sing with such harmony, soooo beautiful. 25 Minutes, Wild Women, Sleeping Child, Out of the Blue, Ocean of Love, well... all of them are really good. They are not like any other bands, they write their own songs and sing with their hearts and it shows through the music. For anyone new to MLTR, try listening to a couple of songs and you'll see what I mean.

This is a great band. Voices match with each other, and the beat of the music goes with the voices. I am waiting for their new album.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Harmony with a Unique Sound, November 15, 2001

This review is from: Colours (Audio CD)
This is NO "boyband!" Michael Learns To Rock is an eclectic mix with a unique sound. They are pop, rock, and dash of contemporary country, believe it or not. This is my opinion anyway. As with their other albums, every song on this one stands on its own. MLTR performs various styles but still remains true. Colours should appeal to those who like all types of music. There is the beautiful ballad of "Sleeping Child." Rock songs such as "Wild Women" and "I'm Gonna Come Back." Finally, there's the love-loss story told in "25 Minutes," which sounds a little "contemporary country" with both its music and the lyrics. Overall, a great album.

I loved this CD. The lyrics were all so clever, the songs catching and addicting, and the voices... well, they're pretty great too. This CD is a must.

5.0 out of 5 stars MLTR Truly Rocks in a most pleasing manner... EXCELLENT!, December 22, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Colours (Audio CD)
I own 4 CDs by this group. They have produced great music on every CD I've listened to (Michael Learns to Rock, Colours, Played on Pepper, and Nothing to Lose). I first heard their music when I was working in the Middle East, and did a lot of digging on the Internet upon my return to the States to learn who it was I had heard. I was taken with the first cut I ever heard by this group and have shared the music with many friends. It seems the only reason they're not monstrous here in the U.S. is that they have gotten no airplay. It's very tough to find their music in the U.S. (except here on Amazon!!).

I ran across this group in Asia in 1995, where they were one of the most popular European bands at the time. I've never heard them played in the US but think they would really take off. The music is soulful, thoughtful, and upbeat. They're 2nd CD is great, too.

I think this is one of the best albums in the world. I think everyone who has ever heard it loves it. I love MLTR. Jascha's so talented and the coolest. Kare's so cute. Mikkel's so funny and Soren's so chubby. I love all of them. MLTR IS GREAT!
