5.0 out of 5 stars Finding one woman to share their lives has proved to be a impossible task for the Colter brothers - until now., January 23, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Colters' Woman (Paperback)
Adam, Ethan, and Ryan have everything they want in life with the exception of one thing - a woman who will complete them. They've planned and dreamed of the day they'd finally find a woman who incites the passion in all three of them and is strong enough to love and accept each in return. They'd just about lost hope until Adam trudged out to get the mail and finds Holly laying unconscious in the snow only yards from their home.

Holly is running from the man she married. She's been running scared since her wedding night when she saw her new husband commit murder. She was still running when her car broke down at the base of a mountain where the Colter brothers hunting lodge sits. She'd walked to their lodge, but lost consciousness before reaching the door. Next thing she knows, she's buck naked in a bathtub full of warm water with a gorgeous man standing over her. As if that isn't enough of a shock to a girl's system, there are two more men waiting in another room and all three of them want to keep her - forever.

The Colter brothers agree that Holly is everything they want in the woman who will become their wife, lover, and eventually the mother of their children. Convincing her that they're serious about wanting her to stay is going to be a bit trickier than any of them anticipated. Holly is determined to keep running. Not only is her husband a dangerous man, but she's also confused by her own desires for Adam, Ethan, and Ryan. Being so turned on by all three men at the same time makes her a whore, doesn't it? The brothers are going to have to do some serious explaining about their intentions toward her and why her attraction to all of them is acceptable and even desired. Helping her to get a divorce as quickly as possible is imperative, but not nearly as important as keeping her safe from the man who wants nothing more than to see her dead.

Maya Banks COLTERS' WOMAN is an awesome story full of emotional turmoil, hot sweaty sex, and enough suspense to keep readers anxiously reading through each scene with bated breath. Adam, Ethan, and Ryan each have vastly different personalities and needs. Holly is faced with the prospect of trying to figure out their quirks and how best to deal with each man. It's a bit overwhelming but she's up to the task. This book is chock full of scenes that will have you close to tears one minute and laughing out loud, all while chewing anxiously on your fingernails. The emotional bond that develops between the Colter brothers and Holly is a key factor throughout the story and readers won't soon forget any of these wonderful characters. Beautiful job, Maya! You've more than fulfilled my expectations with this endearing tale.

This review is from: Colters' Woman (Paperback)
When Adam Colter finds a beautiful stranger lying unconscious in a snow-covered ditch on his property, he feels an instant connection to her. Could she be the woman he and his brothers have been waiting for? Judging by Ethan and Ryan Colter's reactions to the woman, before she even wakes, the future looks promising with this mysterious woman in it.

Holly doesn't know quite what to think when she wakes to find herself in the care of the three brothers, all intent on making her their own. Even the pesky little detail that she is already married, or that her husband may be trying to kill her doesn't seem to deter the Colter men from their objective - her!

Maya Banks novel Colters' Woman was on my to be read list when I first read the synopsis for it. As I heard more and more buzz from others who had already enjoyed it, its reading priority was quickly escalated for me. I can tell you unequivocally, this book lives up to its hype!

If you enjoy a very hot erotic ménage tale, then you need to purchase Colters' Woman right away! This book starts out steamy, never lets up, and yet still has plenty of plot. The Colter men circle the wagons, so to speak, in order to protect the one woman who has been able to stir the hearts of each of these magnetic men from her murderous husband.

The Colter brothers could easily make any woman believe that marriage to three men is a perfectly normal thing. Indeed, the way Maya Banks writes these men makes a woman wish for just such a reality.

Once Holly recovers from her initial shock over the situation, she warms to the idea, and quickly proves she is the right woman for each man.

Colters' Woman is the kind of book that makes me kick myself for not having read any of Maya Banks work sooner!

5.0 out of 5 stars Simply stunning!, January 24, 2007
This review is from: Colters' Woman (Paperback)
Adam Colter and his two brothers, Ethan and Ryan are feeling restless. Winter has set in, but after ten years of guiding hunters through the mountains in the fall, they want more. Walking to get the mail, Adam is surprised to see someone in a snowy ditch and rushes to help. Rushing to the fallen person, he is astonished to see that it is a woman and without further thought, he knows she is the one; the one person that will complete his family unit. Carefully picking her up, he rushes her to the cabin and his brothers.

Holly Bardwell is tired of running but has no choice. The witness of a murder, she escaped with just the clothes on her back and since her car broke down, she is relieved, lucky to not have died. She is a bit nervous though because she wakes up in the company of not one but three dashing and extremely virile looking men. Men that somehow make her feel safe, while at the same time make her feel aroused and tingly inside. Men that she is afraid of caring about because if she loves them, she might inadvertently put them in danger or get them harmed.

Adam, Ethan, and Ryan vow to Holly that she is safe from the menace searching for her and set out to prove to her that they love her and want her with them always. Finally feeling safe, Holly's world comes crashing down with a single gun shot. Now it is up to the brothers to save her like they promised.

Colters' Woman by Maya Banks is a ménage match made in heaven. I still haven't recovered from its intensity. Adam, Ethan, and Ryan are heroes at their finest and sinfully sexy lovers as well. Fully anticipating and looking forward to a ménage, what I got was so much more. More love, more passion, more story. Each male character is lovable, from Adam's no nonsense approach to Holly's safety, to Ethan's ready laughter, to Ryan's vulnerability. Each brother single handedly made me fall in love and like Holly, there would have been no way I could have picked just one. Holly surprised me at first with her readiness to accept the men in her life but as the story progressed, her character strengthened and I have to say that her bravery was stunning.

Colters' Woman grabbed me from page one and refused to let go until I read the last word. This story of three lonely men and one lonely woman just worked for me. I haven't recovered yet and still am thinking about this marvelous story. Grab the ice water and get a fan, because this baby is HOT!! When a book still affects me hours after reading it, I can't help but joyfully recommend it and I fully recommend Colters' Woman by Maya Banks!
