provides accurate and meaningfull information that benefits both the novice and advanced collector. The photography is excellent and demonstrates the nuances that Sheldon brings forth regarding the evolution of the pistol from 1929 to 1971.

The book is fantastic. It's well written and has great photographs. This is the only book I've found on the Colt Super 38. It contains lots of hard-to-find information about a classic Colt. I also find it very timely due to the 100th anniversary of the John Browning designed Model 1911, of which the Super 38 is probably the coolest variation of that great pistol.
