I bought this knife while on a motorcycle trip in Canada. I was at first apprehensive because there is no "other side" to the handle. They bevel the blade and only sharpen it on one side so that it lays flat and flush on the handle. I have run my finger across the blade when it is closed and it does not catch on my clothes or skin. The blade stays very sharp and the tonto design is nice and strong with plenty of flat blade surface. It is a nice knife in terms of size (not girly small, yet not as big as many of the spyderco's that my friends have. It is very narrow, and so it lays flat in the pocket, whether it is in front with your keys (like it was during my motorcycle trip) or in the back pocket. The clip is nice to keep it at the top of the pocket if you want it there, holds tight so it won't fly out, and can be used as a money clip or to attach it to clothes without pockets (gym shorts). All in all, it is very well put together, solidly built, sharp, very portable, and relatively inexpensive. One important note: because it is only 'one-sided' it is designed to be used right handed. the opening edge is intended for a right thumb and so left-handers would have to be extra careful not to cut themselves or to use it right handed only.

KISS stands for Keep it Simple Stupid. But there is nothing "simple"-looking about this beautiful knife. It is a work of art unlike anything I have ever seen. Traditional folding knives fold into a handle, but the KISS folds on the outside of the handle. Although the blade is exposed, it is sharpened and shaped in such a way to lie flat against the handle. So it's perfectly safe to clip to your pocket. As for use, it should provide a lifetime of light-duty use. Perfect for opening packages, cutting plastic ties, or most anything else you encounter in your daily modern civilized existence. This thing is solid and comes out of the box sharp! And it opens like butter. I received my first KISS knife as a gift, but lost it after a couple of years. I missed it so much that I bought myself another one from Amazon. I will NOT lose this one. Highly recommended knife for those who like their blades to be exceptional and out of the ordinary.

I have had this knife KISS Tanto combo for several years, I use it every day for something , whether I'm opening a package, trimming a string from something, cutting picture from the newspaper, sharpening a pencil etc. Being right handed and normally wear jeans, I find this knife fits perfectly in my right side pocket. 1 thing that I did with mine is remove the thumb stud. I can slide it out, open it,, use it close it, slide it back in my pocket in the most swift and efficient manner using only ONE HAND. I have yet been able to find a suitable replacement. It is an every day pocket knife with a 2.25" blade, it is not a screwdriver, it is not a chisel, it is not a pry bar, it can be a money clip if all you clip is a few bills, not useful as a money clip with 2 credit cards, drivers license a picture or 2 and bills. It is a knife, a very sharp one (well @ least mine is VERY sharp) and I don't let everybody and anybody use it if some asks for my knife I ask them what they need it for as I know from experience others may not handle this knife with the same care as I do. that helps eliminate the "Band Aid moments" and keeps my knife in perfect working order. I have several of these waiting on the shelf to be used when my original one wears out......... like I said b4 it's been several years so far (also makes a great and unique groomsman gift)

This is my 2nd KISS knife. The 1st was an SST (short stubby thing) it was an ideal size to clip into a watch pocket. This KISS is a bit larger and digs into the hip when sitting. It is excellent for opening cartons and even cutting down and scoring boxes. The liner lock works easily (unlike my Kershaw Baby Boa), and fits unobtrusively to the hand. I also have a Gerber Ridge that keeps trying to close because it's liner lock is actuated when you hold the knife to cut.

I love the shape and the convenient pocketable size of this knife. My only actual complaint is that the "K.I.S.S. in the dark" is black, the "k.i.s.s." is the gray one. So the title here is very misleading. I thought I was ordering the black version until it arrived, but it's still a great knife. Still sharp, and the shape of the blade is especially convenient.

This is the fourth CRKT knife I've bought as a gift and everyone has always loved them, especially my husband. They're small enough to comfortably fit in your pocket, yet versatile and useful enough to be something you want with you every day. My only negative remark is that I replaced my husband's after about one and a half years because the protector element was coming loose but that could very well be attributed to the fact that he frequently acts like a bull in a china shop. Also, I got it from Amazon for $15 less than what I paid at a specialty store. All around, a great buy and a knife I know my husband will have for many more years.

After using this as a keychain knife for about 2 weeks, I noticed that the blade, which is supposed to be mounted flush to the handle, had begun to pull away from the handle, leaving the possibility of me slicing my hand when I reach in my pocket for my keys. Eventually it got worse and I tried to fix the problem by tightening the torx screw (that didn't even have loctite on it) that holds the blade to the handle. All this did was make it a little bit better, but a LOT harder to open, and eventually it started loosening and pulling away again. Trashing this knife - I got a Benchmade Pardue Design Combo Edge Knife which is amazing. It's bigger, but is lighter, and fully encloses the blade. It's an amazing knife, as can be expected from Benchmade.

Great knife and perfect for my hands. Came very sharp and usable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a nice pocket-knife. I will use it for daily carry and as a money clip when I don't feel like carrying my wallet around.
