4.0 out of 5 stars Size & Weight Specifics
This bag has a full length zipper to enable it to open like a blanket. It also has a small velcro piece at the top to keep the bag from unzipping while you sleep. The blue and green polyester areas of the sleeping bag are a bit slick & slippery, but the tan microfleece liner is soft and comfortable to sleep on.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice, but not durable
This is a nice size bag. Packs pretty small. We've used it at cabins, hotels, etc. Problem is that they are not durable. We have bought two, and after maybe a dozen uses, the stitching on both bags has come undone. We have sewed them up, but I imagine they will start coming apart again soon, just in a different area. Shame really. I have enjoyed many Columbia products...

I haven't tested this in the field yet, but it appears to be a well made, compact & fairly lightweight summer sleeping bag. The specs on Amazon aren't very clear so here is some accurate measurements:

Sleeping Bag = 1261 grams = 2 lbs 12.5 oz
Incl Mesh Bag = 33 grams = 1.2 oz

There are 2 bungies sewn into the outer foot area; When rolled up tightly and fastened with those bungies, it is 6" x 17". (If you compress it in a strong stuff sack, you can probably make it smaller.) The sleeping bag only fills about 80% of the included mesh bag, so I plan to roll up my silk sleeping sheet inside also.

Hope you found this review to be helpful.

4.0 out of 5 stars Decent for car camping but too heavy for backpacking without modification, June 5, 2009

When researching this bag I found differing weights listed, so I contacted the manufacturer Northpole who makes this bag for Columbia. They told me this bag has no weight listed, so it had to weigh LESS THAN ONE POUND. I'm thinking this is GREAT since I wanted an ultra light bag for Summer. After receiving the bag I'm guessing it weighs closer to 3 pounds.
That being said, it is well made for a low cost bag. The poly shell and 240 gram micro fleece should be easy to care for. I plan to cut off the bungees on the end, remove the tag, and take out the full length zipper (which is probably the heaviest part of the bag) bringing this down to sub-two pounds. Wish me luck.
My only complaint is the 'Powermesh' carry bag. I don't consider it very powerful since it ripped the first time I stuffed the sleeping bag into it. I guess it is really a carry bag and not a stuff sack.

I've used this when camping out during warm nights. Very comfortable and breathable. Since I have a dog (think: hair), I use it indoors as a blanket/mat for stretching exercises.

Very well made, have used it both outdoors on a balmy evening, and indoors where the temperature was about 50. In both cases, I was very comfortable. This was exactly what I had hoped for when ordering :)

It is a perfect sleeping back to sleepovers and it is really easy to wash, meaning its not so big that it couldn't fit in the washer.

3.0 out of 5 stars great for kids, March 31, 2011

Bag is well put together, it is good for indoor use only. It is a little small for adults. I am 5'10" 180lbs and the bag is to small to sleep well in zipped up. Next time I will find a larger size.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quality sleeping bag but..., June 30, 2010

As said, quality isn't the issue for Columbia. However, I used this sleeping bag for crashing three nights on a hotel floor during AnimeNEXT 2010. A hotel room with air condition/heat and a carpeted floor.

If you plan to use this sleeping bag OUTSIDE, don't. The sleeping bag is thin, the fleece didn't help me when one night, my roommate upped the air conditioner to 60 degree F. You'll first need to invest in liners and etc. Check before hand if this is cost effective for you because there are better sleeping bag out there. :)

On the other hand, I adore this because it fits into an included mesh bag and into my duffel. Less for me to carry. ^__^ And it works for the my intended purpose. Overall, this was a good deal.

3.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for camp and smaller people, July 16, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Columbia Fleece Sleeping Bag (Sports)
The weight of this bag was perfect for 50+ degree weather in an unheated camp. I do wish it was a little bit wider though. Felt kind of tight when zipped all the way up - I'm 5'2" and 120 lb - so if you are any heavier than that you might not like it as much.
