Great Jacket- light but still warm-and waterproof easy to put on squirming toddler- great color- is as shown.

Got this jacket for my 5 year old boy. 4ft tall and slim. (ordered size 6/7) He had never tried on a Columbia jacket so I decided to really take note of the sizing chart and measured him to get the best size. Well I am not sure exactly where they start the sleeve measurement but it was no where close what they noted. When we got the jacket it fit him perfectly, but he has absolutely no room to grow. According to the sizing chart the jacket should be quite large on him, but this was not the case at all. We have to return it, but the jacket is quite nice though so we will order the next size up. So I'll give it a 5 out of 5, they just need to fix the chart to be more accurate.

We purchased this jacket for our son after looking at several different stores and comparing prices and features. This is a great jacket, and will work great for an outer shell for at least 2 years. Generous sizing!

At first I was concerned that there was no string to tighten the hood. But the way it's cut, you need to put the hood up before zipping up the zipper all the way, and once it's all closed it really can't slide off. That's perfect and much more comfortable than the style that you pull tight with a string, and allows you to move your head more. I like the velcro on the back of the hood that let's you adjust its size a little.

I bought the size 4/5 for my 2 year old because another site had a good deal on it. He is 99% percentile in height, but still, he's only 2. The jacket is obviously a little big, I wanted it to last throughout next winter too, but he can already wear it. But I hope he'll get 2 or maybe even 3 rainy seasons out of it.

this jacket runs true to size for my little ones. i only gave it 4 stars because in the description you get the idea that there might be some warmth protection here. not at all. this is strictly for rain and wind protection. if the temperatures start to dip, you will need to add layers underneath for warmth. otherwise you can tell it is a high quality item.

I like the color, but thought the material was much thinner than I would have liked. I think I'll need to have him layer a sweatshirt or sweater underneath.
