It was durable, reliable, sharp, kept an edge, useful, and it was one of my favorites when I was a monthly camping boyscout(now an Eagle Scout) who felt the need to carry atleast one or two knives with me, I had a collection but overtime they've been lost, stolen, pawned, and... my multitude of blades dwindled down to nothing reliable. This knife is highly reliable, I recomment it, as well as any decently priced assisted opening blade. The version of this knife that I had was serrated near the handle which was useful for cutting rope. This knife, but with 1/3 or so serrated, was my favorite pocket knife until I got my first assisted opening knife, and I used to carry them regularly but they've both disappeared. Great knife.
Knife advice: it's a tool for cutting only and anything else will risk damaging your knife, it is not a lever, a screw driver, or anything else but it is only a cutting knife not to be used within an arm length or more of another person and always keep your fingers behind the blade. I used to handle knives by keeping my thumb along the back of the knife along the edge up to part of the blade... the thumb on the back of the blade is important for controlled carving, and a dull knife is more dangerous than a sharp one. It's more likely to slip, make you struggle, and increases the chance of danger to users and those surrounding the user as well as the project. -Eagle Scout.
