The sleeves have elastic cuffs to keep your arms warm as well as the waist that can be tightened by a draw string.

I thought this was a fantastic jacket to ski in this year. I was able to ski about 20 times with this particular jacket in all kinds of conditions. This jacket held up to all the wear and tear of a full year of skiing. Full disclosure, I don't believe the outer shell will hold up well against dead, broken and jagged branches if you do a lot of glade or off piste skiing. You may tear the shell if it gets snagged on one of those. I personally try avoid broken and jagged branches! Anyway, it is light and roomy, yet warm enough for some of the coldest and windy of days. Please note, the majority of the time I wear a skin tight merino base layer, and depending on the forecast, may put on an additional thermal layer for extra warmth. I can't imagine skiing without layers, especially a base layer, except for bluebird spring conditions. It is not a bulky jacket that binds up as it allows you to move freely. I wear this jacket with a hydropack and never found it uncomfortable or bunching. This jacket also kept me dry too by keeping the rain and snow out and yet allowed the perspiration to escape. It has plenty of pockets with two roomy hip pockets to stash gloves and other bulky items, two smaller upper chest pockets which I found perfect for my phone. It also has a pocket to stash goggles on the inside and a small narrow zipper pocket for a phone or MP3 player with the ability to close and run ear buds out of. I never had a problem with snow drifting underneath of it either as it does have a waist cord and I wear ski pants. Overall, I really like this jacket and it sells at a great price. It may not be the best ski jacket ever made, but it was more than sufficient to handle my needs out here in Utah.Read more ›

This is the second of this same jacket I have purchased, the first one was stolen of all crazy things. However, the first one was so good, I bought another. I like the fact that it comes in bright colors, or subdued colors. THere are many combinations of colors so you are not stuck with the same "blue, red, or black" jacket that everyone else has. Second, I like the fabric. Some have said it doesn't hold up to the sharp branches, rocks, in skiing. Seriously? Its not bullet proof, what do you expect for under 100$. I am sure you can buy a military jacket that will hold up to much more punishment. Of course its probably about 4x as thick (the outer shell) probably much heavier, and no doubt, is camouflage. So go for it. The fact is, that these jackets are made to keep you warm and look nice. They are not survival jackets for climbing mount everest, and they are not military grade jackets to stand up to carrying a 50lb pack and m16 through Afghanistan. They are made to wear to school, wear around town, wear skiing, etc. Its a warm jacket, but notice the verbage---JACKET. it doesn't say coat, or parka. Its a light jacket and for that its very warm. If you go skiing or something very cold, then be smart, and wear layers. Wear a long sleeve thermal underclothing, wear a turtleneck shirt, a wool sweater, a down vest, and this jacket and yes, you will be properly attired for 20 below zero skiing on a super cold and windy day. If you think you can wear your old raggedy budweiser t-shirt and then put this on while heading for the slopes on a cold day, yeah you will be cold. No doubt. This is made for cool weather. Not extreme cold weather.Read more ›

Way too thin for a New England winter. Material is kind of cheap feeling. We returned it.

Bought it for my husband and he is very broad-shouldered and normally wears L/XL in tops, so I opted for XL. It's ok in shoulders but but way too large overall even if you wear a thick sweater underneath

Not a coat for lower Michigan winters. Good price, nice fit, nice color options, but I'll be sending this one back :-(
