The sizing on this runs a little small at the waist and long at the arms. Also, this should be called a jacket, not a parka. It's thin and doesn't keep me warm in the cold winter snowy days. I prefer my outerwear to be long at the waist area and I thought it would be since that's why they are called parkas, but nope. I got an XL by the way.

Never bought much clothes over the internet. I was always worried about fit. I decided to give this Columbia jacket a try and boy, am i glad I did. I bought the jacket thru Amazon in early December with no problems and it arrived promptly. Very nice looking with no hanging threads whatsoever. Starting the week of Christmas, it has snowed every week for five weeks with lots of cold thrown in-between. The jacket has performed beyond my wildest dreams. This thing will keep you warm and the detachable hood is first class too. I will never regret this purchase and if you get a chance to buy one of these jackets from Columbia, I highly recommend it.

Columbia outerwear is one of the best out there. I love the fit, features, and design of Columbia jackets. I wanted a parka but the length is too small for a parka and is more like a jacket. The fit is unusual in that the shoulders are on the small size, but then the waist expands out. The arm length is long but the velcro will keep it tight. It's not too light nor is it on the heavy full side. With a heavy sweater this jacket will be very warm but then it's tight on the shoulders. I have the large. At this sale price it's worth it but I have tried on better Columbia jackets in stores.

I was surprised how nice this item was . The $50.00 is well worth it. I haven`t tried it out in really cold weather because we haven`t had much yet. For the price I would and might buy another.

This is an awesome jacket. I never thought it would be so warm. I wear it in severe cold weather and I dont need to wear layers.

This is a stylish coat, kept me warm skiing lots of times. The coat doesn't look too thick but it really does offer a lot of warmth. I liked the styling of it, sporty and semi-casual.

The detachable hood is convenient, I liked the ability to take it off.

My first Columbia coat. Now I know what the others rave about. Quality construction, lots of great features, and those touches of quality that I expected (given the accolades I have heard from others).

The Edge Release jacket is not quite warm enough for the most frigid of South Dakota's winter days, but it works great for a broad range of weather at or below the freezing mark. Chalk me down as another Columbia Sportswear fan.

This is a warm jacket and it was a great price but from the picture I was expecting a longer jacket and it's only a waistline style.

I bought this parka for my husband. He loves it. It is roomy, lightweight and warm - not all bulky or constraining. Hood is removable. Nice exterior and interior pockets. At a considerably reduced price, it was a find!
