Favorite most comfortable and durable,

I am in complete disagreement with the other review on all counts. I have 3 pairs of these and will buy more - SUPER Durable, comfortable, fit great and, in fact, led me to buy more Columbia clothing products.

I now have 4 pairs of these pants. I found my first pair at TJ Maxx, buried among all of the other pants. I snapped them up, brough 'em hone and have loved them ever since. I paid full price for another pair at REI (never again) and just ordered two more pair yesterday. Love 'em. Super comfortable, great fit and a awesome look.

These pants are nice and well made for Khaki's. They fit well in the waist and butt but are way too long for 32's. Try ordering one size smaller unless you want to alter them! This goes for all the columbia pants I ordered.

There are too five-star reviews on these "rugged adventurer" pants, so lemme break it down for the newcomers. These are made from a stonewashed midweight cotton fabric that is soft to the touch and very comfortable on the skin. The casual cut is great for work and affords great freedom of movement. You can lounge in these at home far better than most khakis and the zippered inner hip pocket and small leg pocket are both welcome features that lend a suitably adventurous degree of versatility.Alas, the stonewashed softness comes at a price: greatly reduced longevity of the fibers, and therefore, a shorter usable lifespan of the pants (and by "usable," I mean "not beginning to look ratty.") For me, that amounted to maybe 60-70 wearings, despite my studious avoidance of yardwork while wearing them and gentle laundry care (cold water wash, air drying,) not including the torn gash that mysteriously appeared on the inner leg almost as soon as I started wearing them. And now, a scant year after I finally took them off the rack in the closet, the cuffs are already fraying. Notwithstanding the admirably overdone stitching, this is worse than GAP or Dockers quality, and not at all competitive on a price basis with either of those, to say nothing of what you can get from a pair of full-weight Carhartt's. So they're already relegated to secondary pant duties, and that makes me sad. Would I buy these again? Sure, but only on the clearance rack. Columbia still makes a lot of good, high-value clothing, but in this instance, one can get a better deal from their competitors.

Best pants I even purchased for my husband,

They are great pants, simple, casual, but nice. Has a nice cargo pocket on the side, but not cargo pants like at all. The fit and quality are great. My hushband said that these are his favorite pants and asked for another pair or two. Also, he's not a fancy pant or jean guy - I wear 7's, Lucky and Citizens jeans and he wear Lees or Levis, an he is very picky. So to find these kaki's/pants for him was a big win!

These pants look durable without looking too casual. They are attractive on my hubby, who has no butt and thick legs. (He got a pair in size 38 x 32.) He's "older" and therefore didn't like the "younger" style of the pants (with their little "pull tag" linked to the top side pocket, but this isn't something other people really would notice. He's just not used to wearing "cool" pants. (We're working on that.) He also commented that the length is a bit shorter than normal pants with a 32-inch inseam.

Ummm...they fit? And they seem durable? They're kinda stiff coming out of the dryer, and sometimes they're a bit wrinkly, but a quick spritz and a re-dry and they're ready to wear.

Under a high-end label, these could sell for 50-100% more. Great all around comfort, good, relaxed fit. I just bought another pair.
