Product Description

Don't let a rocky riverbed spoil your good time: you're a veritable Aquaman in Columbia Sportswear's Powerdrain water shoe. With an open construction for easy drainage and a mesh upper for a quick dry, you're covered both in and out of the drink on a rubber sole for good grip and premium protection against the murky depths. A cinch-up closure makes on and off, well, a cinch in Columbia Sportswear.

This powered-up version of our original Drainmaker offers great fit and support. When your day takes you in and out of the water, you want a shoe that can tackle surf and turf equally well. The amphibious Columbia Powerdrain Men does just that with a fully drainable design that features a quick-pull bungee cord on the upper for great fit and side welds for great foot lockdown. The Columbia Powerdrain Men's new 3-layer system allows water and air to move easily through the shoe for quick-dry, barefoot comfort, while the Omni-Grip® wet grip rubber outsole delivers outstanding traction on slick surfaces.

They are super light weight and comfortable.

I needed footwear that was light, drained water efficiently, dried quickly, and had a solid dependable grip on varied surfaces when I got out.

The outer mesh does not seem to be terribly durable and I already have one small tear.

Just took them on a float trip and they worked great. Not too many small rocks got into them and was a great improvement on my last pair I owned. The One improvement I think they could make on them is to have more traction on the bottom of them. I slipped and fell a few times, but that could easily been the beer causing it as well!! Overall, great product!!

My husband loves these shoes. He is an avid fisherman and wears these shoes at least 3-4 times a week. He loves how breathable and light they are. I actually purchased a 2nd pair for him and would definitely recomend these to anyone looking for a good water shoe.

I have been interested in these since I saw the first Drainmaker's last summer. I have been looking for a good shoe to wear on the boat while fishing. I would like something light, breathable (cool), and that dries quickly, but provides good support for being on my feet all day. I have had times where I have been caught in the rain, or a boat wake will come over the side of my boat, and my shoes end up soaked and soggy all day. I thought these were the perfect solution.

I saw them on sale and jumped on it. When I received them and tried them on, I immediately didn't like them. There is ZERO support in them. The arch is flat...basically there is no arch. It's a basic water shoe dressed up to look like a running shoe. I was really expecting these to be perfect, but they are far from it. I ended up returning after only wearing around the house for 10 minutes.

    Nice try, Columbia.

I wear an 11.5 or 12 US size. The Columbia's fit sung and provide the needed support for running in Africa. I had another pair of Columbia and they lasted for a year. The material is built to last. The shoes definitely have craftsmanship. This item doesn’t have shoestrings and as a result you’ll need to tuck in the clip that tightens the shoe. This product meets my expectations.

These shoes while great in water lasted two wearings before mesh tearing out. Amazon not willing to pay return shipping either so I had to pay out to return them for refund on 2 wearings. Very disappointed. Too bad shoes didn't work out as they really did a nice job prior to wear out.

I haven't had these shoes long so I can't speak to the longevity, but so far they are great. Very lightweight and drain awesome. Some things to consider: I usually wear a 10 1/2 shoe/boot, but I accidentally ordered a 10. Thankfully I did because they fit perfect. Next, I am flatfooted so I don't know about not enough arch support that some of the other reviews have talked about. I would definitely recommend these shoes based on my experience. Oh, and I get non-stop compliments on them when I'm wearing them out and about!

I am the type of person that refuses to spend more than $40 dollars on a pair of shoes.

I bought my first pair a year ago because I found them on sale right before backpacking all over Europe all summer. On the longest days I walked/hiked over 20 miles (32 km) with these shoes.

They're light, dry quick, and are aerated. I like the fact that these shoes widen at the toes preventing my pinkie toe from curling under my other toe.

I still have my first pair but you can imagine after wearing them through 6 different countries, traveling via hitch hiking and walking they do not look very new.

I need a second pair for work and this is the first time I am willing to pay $75.99 for a pair of shoes.
