Better value than some other more expensive branded sandals!

The soles are just glued to the bottom of the sandal and apparently the glue used in NOT suitable for this application as it comes unglued within a few months.
    Brion Kenline
The sandals are great quality and fit well, very comfortable, easy on and off, enjoy wearing them.

I've had 5 months to use the Techsun 2 sandal, and I'm downgrading my rating because of durability problems. The outer sole just fell off one of the sandals and I can see why. The rubber sole was attached only to the outside 1/4 inch of the footbed because the remainder of the footbed is paper! Not a great choice for a boating sandal. Once the adhesive on the edge goes, and sandal falls apart. Next time I'll pay up for a better made sandal.

My first impressions of the Techsun 2 sandal are that the sandal is very comfortable and supportive. I was looking for a sandal that fit well and stayed with me whether running or climbing in and out of boats. Maybe more importantly, I wanted a sandal with good traction on wet wood and plastic docks and aluminum ramps. The Techsun does a great job on slippery surfaces. The rubber sole looks like it was designed specifically for wet traction. Sizing is a bit big - I chose a half size smaller, and it fits perfectly. Can't say much about durability yet, although it appears well made.

I have had this sandal for a few weeks now and have been repeatedly jumping out of my kayak into the water here in Florida's Lower Keys to walk around the flats fishing. So far there have been no product defects noted either in the water or walking around the beach communities. In or out of the salt water they have remained secure and very comfortable. Break-in period was insignificant. Seems a good tough sandal and I would buy another if this wears out.

I reviewed too early. When I returned to the Keys the next winter, these sandels virtually exploded on contact with the water. It was amazing. Nearly all the seams came free within 48 hours. It turns out that the straps are secured only by being tucked between between the sole and the foot cushion when they are glued together. THEY AREN'T STITCHED - ON A WATER SANDAL!

Sorry I gave you a bum steer on this one. In spite of fitting well and being comfotable, it just doesn't deserve to be called a water sandal under any circumstances.

Terrible sandal. Sole detached within a year of purchase with very light use. I have had cheep walmart sandals last longer than these.

I have a pair of Columbia Surf Tide sandals that have been great, but are now showing their age. I was told that as these are no longer available (though I did find a few on the internet but not in my size) the Techsun is intended to replace them. I bought a pair, and they seem attractive and reasonably well-made, but they have significantly less cushion than the Surf Tide, and were much less comfortable for me. I sent them back and went back to wearing my Surf Tides which are now held together with duct tape.

I expect the Techsun's are fine for most people, but should not be confused with the Surf Tide style.

Got these and wore them once - they rubbed me on the big toe of both feet until I was bleeding, after only about two hours of fairly inactive use. Very unusual. Obviously these are not very well designed and not ergonomic. They are plastic, and they feel like it. Not recommended.

Man, what can I tell you but I love these sandals. These sandals have a unique design as they fit perfectly and are very comfortable. The traction on the bottoms are amazing with some rubberized designs made to withstand slipping. The price for these sandals aren't too pricey and they're even better than the nike ones that cost an arm and a leg. Highly recommended!

I paid a lot for these, and within 9 months of light use the soles completely came off. It goes without saying, I'll never by Columbia products again...

Could have used more strap material. You have to make sure the velcro is in the middle and pulled tight or the shoe might come off.
